About Me

I am the event calligrapher behind Marmade Design Co. 

My first introduction to lettering began in my grandmother's living room. Before I even knew what calligraphy was, she taught me the importance of beautiful penmanship. Between homework assignments and Sailor Moon episodes, I'd design different handwriting styles for fun. 

Fast forward to 2015...
Searching for a creative outlet beyond my 9-to-5, I took a copperplate-style calligraphy class. From there, my lifelong passion for creating art with letters bloomed.  (And yes, I bought just about every calligraphy and lettering tool I could get my hands on, practicing on any surface I could find. In a lot of ways, this calligraphy journey feels like a homage to my grandmother, carrying forward the love for lettering she planted in me all those years ago.

In 2018, I officially launched Marmade Design Co. to offer my lettering skills for weddings and special occasions. Over time, my work evolved to include on-site services such as engraving and hot foiling, allowing me to create personalized experiences for a wide range of clients. Along the way, I've had the joy of partnering with brands such as Anthropologie, Dolce & Gabbana, & Saint Laurent to bring thoughtful, hand-crafted details to life. 

Fun facts...

• By day, I am a full-time project manager with work experience in media, non-profit, and tech.
• I am a dog mama of two sassy, Shih Tzu sisters.
• Outside of the studio, you'll find me doing puzzles, collecting sneakers, exploring museums, or going to the library.
